In the United States, childcare in regulated commercial or family childcare home setting is administered or led by teachers who may have a Child Development Associate or higher credentials. These higher credentials include Associate, Bachelor, and even master's degrees in the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE). Although childcare professionals may obtain a degree, many states require that they attend workshops yearly to upgrade their knowledge and skill levels. Many day cares require a teacher to obtain a certain amount of training. For example, Texas requires a minimum of 25 hours a year, and the first year as a teacher, you are required to have 50 hours.

So my daughter has been enrolled for a couple months now.... and now I feel like I can give a good review, I've had 1 incident that was handled immediately. I have to say marycruz is an amazing person, she always goes out of her way to make me feel comfortable. Especially because she understands that I'm "that" mom. I appreciate her always going above and beyond to try and make sure I'm comfortable and happy. I also want to say brandy and the young lady that works almost every morning are AMAZING as well. Every morning I drop my child off the teacher is always there with a smile, she actually addresses my concerns to the people she needs to, so when I call in they actually know what is going on. It's amazing to call in to address something and the staff who answer know EXACTLY what I'm talking about, makes me feel comfortable with them taking care of my child. Brandy is always helpful and ready to answer all my questions. I love this place!

At home, care is typically provided by nannies, au pairs, or friends and family. The child is watched inside their own home which could expose them to outside children and illnesses. Depending on the number of children in the home, the children utilizing in-home care could enjoy the greatest amount of interaction with their caregiver, in turn forming a close bond. There are no required licensing or background checks for in-home care, making parental vigilance essential in choosing an appropriate caregiver. Nanny and au pair services provide certified caregivers and the cost of in-home care is the highest of childcare options per child, though a household with many children may find this the most convenient and affordable option. Many nannies study towards childcare qualifications. This means they are trained to create a safe and stimulating environment for your child to enjoy and thrive in. Typically, au pairs or nannies provide more than routine child care, often providing assistance with daily household activities which include running errands, shopping, doing laundry, fixing meals, and cleaning the house.
This center is such a wonderful daycare. The Director, Assistant Director and teachers are great, the programs and curriculum are amazing and the facility is really clean. The Directors and teachers are caring, nurturing, and warm. Theres constant communication between the children and parents. When my child had issues, not only did they inform us but they also worked with us to help our child. The Director or Assistant Director is always available till closing if you ever need any advice or to address any issues or concerns. The teachers are always interacting with the children instead of just sitting around watching them. Besides their great curriculum they also offer phonics, math, reading and Spanish as part of their enrichment programs. My child has learned so much from the phonics programs that its unbelievable. Lastly, this center makes you feel like its your 2nd home. The exterior and interior are well maintained. You will not see any marks on their white doors and trash cans. The playground is free from debris. As you step into this center, you'll feel the warmth of the nice decor and see pictures of all the children around the center. Another plus is that they provide nutritional and generous portions of breakfast, lunch and snacks. The children here sleeps on cots during nap time instead of those thin flimsy mats.
