Our child attended FV Kindercare for 4 months and came home sick on a weekly basis. My husband and I have had to miss work on several occasions, as well, due to the multiple illnesses that we contracted from Kindercare.  When our child gets sick then we do as well. I can honestly say he was well for one single week during this 4 month period. The continuous colds eventually developed into a double ear infection. Our child's first ear infection ever and had to take a course of antibiotics for the first time ever in his life. Then recently, our child contracted hand, foot, & mouth disease from Kindercare.  We decided that the health of our child was more important than anything and this school was not conducive with a healthy lifestyle. We dis-enrolled at this point.
In general, the geographic limitations and the diversity in type of daycare providers make child daycare a highly fragmented industry. The largest providers own only a very small share of the market. This leads to frustration for parents who are attempting to find quality child daycare, with 87% of them describing the traditional search for child daycare as "difficult and frustrating".[citation needed]
KinderCare agrees that where a parent or guardian1 and a child’s physician or other qualified health care professional deem it appropriate (based on the child’s current health status) for a child to be assisted in diabetes care by a layperson, that training child care staff members to assist with routine diabetes care tasks, including the administration of insulin by pen, syringe, or pump, is generally a reasonable modification under the ADA unless Kindercare can demonstrate that the individual circumstances cause a fundamental alteration to  its goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, or accommodations.  See 42 U.S.C. § 12182(b)(2)(A)(ii); 28 C.F.R. § 36.302. http://youtube.com/v/eeCahRCgOfI
More specifically, further research indicates that children being cared for by siblings or similarly-aged children (a trend more commonly seen in agriculturally-based cultural communities) have certain psychological and developmental effects on those being cared for. These effects include but are not limited to: mother-child attachment, emergence of childhood developmental stages, formation of playgroups, development of social responsibility, sex differences, personality differences, cognition, and motivation and performance in the classroom.[2]
KinderCare agrees to pay EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS ($8,000) in compensatory damages to each of the three (3) aggrieved individuals/families previously identified by the United States in its investigation. Within ten (10) business days of KinderCare's receipt of an executed release and a form W-9 from each, (release attached hereto as Attachment A), KinderCare shall forward a check to the United States in the appropriate sum, and made payable to each such individual in his or her full legal name, as identified to KinderCare by the United States.

Let me just say that the only reason my children are not in this school anymore is for financial reasons. My son asked me if he could come back. I am very paranoid about where my children go when I am not with them. However with three kids needing childcare....it got really expensive. I love all the teachers and kids there. Maricruz was always amazing and i wish we could've stayed. Ms. Cole was also wonderful and became great friends with all 3 of my children! The school is very convenient for all of my needs and anyone who does send their kids their can feel good about their decision. https://youtube.com/watch?feature=youtube_gdata&v=eeCahRCgOfI

This center is such a wonderful daycare. The Director, Assistant Director and teachers are great, the programs and curriculum are amazing and the facility is really clean. The Directors and teachers are caring, nurturing, and warm. Theres constant communication between the children and parents. When my child had issues, not only did they inform us but they also worked with us to help our child. The Director or Assistant Director is always available till closing if you ever need any advice or to address any issues or concerns. The teachers are always interacting with the children instead of just sitting around watching them. Besides their great curriculum they also offer phonics, math, reading and Spanish as part of their enrichment programs. My child has learned so much from the phonics programs that its unbelievable. Lastly, this center makes you feel like its your 2nd home. The exterior and interior are well maintained. You will not see any marks on their white doors and trash cans. The playground is free from debris. As you step into this center, you'll feel the warmth of the nice decor and see pictures of all the children around the center. Another plus is that they provide nutritional and generous portions of breakfast, lunch and snacks. The children here sleeps on cots during nap time instead of those thin flimsy mats. Since we had to move, we assumed all daycares were comparable to the Fountain Valley location. The answer is No. Unfortunately, not all KinderCare's and other daycares are even comparable to the quality of this location. Fountain Valley KinderCare should definitely be a role model to all the daycare facilities.

How Much Cost For Child Care

An intuitive understanding of this is probably why six in ten American adults think children are better off when one parent focuses full time on raising them. Mothers themselves, besides the three-quarters with young children who prefer part-time or no employment, also cite work flexibility and part-time work opportunities as desires in roughly equal proportions as wanting cheaper child care. Yet instead of exploring the preferences that are likely to yield better outcomes for children, politicians focus on programs we cannot afford that do not support what most women want nor is best for their kids.

My son started attending this day care at 9months old. I went to over 25 day cares in the fountain valley and Irvine area. When I walked in I knew this was perfect for us. From the moment the director welcomed us to the spacious classrooms to the cleanliness of the place... I knew my son would be in a great place. I was currently still breastfeeding and they said they would help me switch my son over to the bottle. My son was very attached to me and it was hard for him with out me. The teachers where so patient and loving that a couple weeks later he couldn't wait to get to school. I am so grateful to have found this day care and the instant we move back to Orange County we are going back.

Independent studies suggest that good daycare for non-infants is not harmful.[56] In some cases, good daycare can provide different experiences than parental care does, especially when children reach two and are ready to interact with other children. Bad daycare puts the child at physical, emotional and attachment risk. Higher quality care was associated with better outcomes. Children in higher quality childcare had somewhat better language and cognitive development during the first 4½ years of life than those in lower quality care. They were also somewhat more cooperative than those who experienced lower quality care during the first 3 years of life.

Learning Stories [57] are documents that are used by caregivers and educators in childcare settings. They use a storytelling format instead of a traditional ‘observation’ report to document the different ways that young children learn, and capture the moment in greater detail and provide parents with a greater insight into the events that occur in their child’s time in childcare.

Love this place.  My son started in the toddler room and switched to the 2y.o room after.   The teachers and staff are very caring and that's what counts for us.  I was in need of temporary childcare as I have no family nearby and I needed to complete an internship for school.   They made it easy for me to register him to fit my school schedule.  He was always happy whenever i picked him up.   Did he get sick?  Yes,  maybe like once or twice,  that's expected.  I love that they are fed there and i don't have to worry about rushing in the morning worrying about what to pack him for lunch and snacks.

The first crèche was opened by Firmin Marbeau on 14 November 1844 in Paris,[61] The Société des Crèches was recognized by the French government in 1869. Originating in Europe in the late 18th and early 19th century, day cares were established in the United States by private charities in the 1850s, such as the Charity Organization Society founded by Ansley Wilcox. The Fitch Creche in Buffalo, New York was known as the first day center for working mothers in the United States. Another at that time was the New York Day Nursery in 1854. http://m.www.youtube.com/embed/eeCahRCgOfI
